Privacy Policy

Overview

aipay.tax provides payment and indirect-tax decision support. This policy explains the information the service processes when you browse the site, use a calculator, or interact with a result. It is separate from the Disclaimer, which explains the limits of the calculations.

Information we process

If you request a calculation, we process the scenario information you provide only as needed to return that calculation. This can include business, seller-country, product, revenue, transaction, customer-mix, market, provider, and other assumption fields in the requested tool.

No public account registration is required. The service does not intentionally collect payment card numbers, bank credentials, tax filing credentials, or government-issued identification by default. Please do not enter those details or other sensitive documents.

Anonymous analytics and local storage

For analytics continuity, the browser may store an anonymous identifier under the localStorage key aipay-anonymous-session. The client creates an anonymousSessionId when needed; it is not a public account identity.

Analytics events send an eventType, the current path, and event metadata by POST to /api/analytics. Metadata can describe an interaction, such as a selected provider or completed calculator category.

How we use information

We use information to operate the calculators and site, return requested results, detect failures or abuse, understand how the service is used, and improve the product.

Infrastructure and service providers

The service relies on hosting, server, database, network, monitoring, and other infrastructure providers as needed to deliver the site and its APIs. Cloudflare is part of the current network delivery path. These providers may process data on our behalf under their own service and security terms.

Retention

Information is retained only for as long as reasonably needed for the purposes described here, including service operation, security, troubleshooting, improvement, and applicable legal or operational requirements. Retention can vary by data type; this policy does not promise a fixed number of days.

Security

We use reasonable technical and organizational safeguards intended to protect information against unauthorized access, loss, misuse, or alteration. No internet service can guarantee absolute security.

Your choices

You can use the public service without creating an account. You can clear the aipay-anonymous-session item from your browser storage or stop using the service; clearing it ends continuity for that browser identifier. There is no self-service deletion portal described by this policy.

International use

Because the service is designed for international users and uses distributed infrastructure, information may be processed in countries other than where you live. Local privacy rights and requirements may apply depending on your circumstances and location.

Changes

We may update this policy when the service or its data practices change. The date below identifies the current version.
